confused???

Back in Dec./09 my period was late so I took a pregnancy test and it appeared to come out positive, I was shocked, so I waited a few days and tested again and that one was neg. Then Jan./10 rolled around and I had a period (not like my usual ones, absolutely no pain and I always get excruciating pain and it only lasted 3 days compared to the usual 5) Then Feb./10 I expected my period around the 21st but didn't get until Mar.4th which during that time I became extremely moody, nauseous, had heartburn etc... which is pretty common for me before my period but 4 days after getting my period (was very light, no pain again and only lasted 3 days) I started to lactate (which was exactly what happen when I was pregnant with my daughter). So here I am Still lactating, have gain about 15 pounds since the beginning of Feb./10 and have this very unusual craving for gummy worms (I usually don't like candy of any sorts.) Home pregnancy tests come up neg. (I have 2 children and hpt tests came up neg. with them as well, had to confirm with a blood test). Does anyone have any thoughts on what might be going on? (I am a 27 year old female who is otherwise pretty healthy) ????

Yes, it is quite common to have home pregnancy tests turn up negative after TL's.  It happened to me and by the time I found out I was confirmed pregnant I had lost the pregnancy due to unknowingly having low progesterone levels.  Bloodwork and ultrasounds are your best tool.

How far along were you when you did your hpt? And do you know if it is common for women who have had TLs to have neg test even if they are pregnant?

if u think u are  preggo post tubal lig then u  need to have  test to  comfirm  trust me pregnancy can happen after  TL i should know it happened to me . Thankfully  my lil peanut was inthe right place  due to  my TL  not being  performed correctly but it could have been a very dangerous thing. Tubal pregancies can kill people now i  dont me to  scare people but i know when i  found out the whole  day before i  could get into the  doctor  iwas completly  freaking out. I have two  other  children i was so scared that something was going to be wrong and that i wouldnt be around for them .  Now again everything turned out great in my  story my  Mckenna was born  very healthly  ( even though she was delivered a few wks early due to  elevated bp) and she happy  healthy 13mth old now but trust me  go get tested it is better to  know  usually post TL pregnacies dont really show up with a home test. I did home test and it was negative but my lab work hcg was 3362  so go to family planning if u dont have insurance they  are free clinic and usuallt every  city has one  any other msg me here maybe i can be of some help

Dearest Women,
I am the mother of two living children and not of an age to have any more children, 54.
I had two tubal ligations. The first lingered on because I was young, had a child and my gyno said the tests were negative. By the time I got a new obgyn, and he performed a laperoscopy and then emergency surgery, I was almost nine weeks pregnant with my first tubal pregnancy. I can still cry, but miraculously I got pregnant ten days later. I know, no sex. Doc also said I probably would never get pregnant again. I now had only one tube and one ovary. This baby was healthy and is now 27.
The second one I got to enjoy one day before I felt the tell tell signs of a tubal ligation.
Now with a specialist, he believed me when the tests, the ultrasounds and all indicated I sluffed the baby. Nope. I still was pregnant. He removed the small baby, four weeks along and  repaired the tube. When I was able to have tests run on the tube, because we wanted more children,  he put me under and put dye in womb and it traveled through to tube. When viewing the fallopian tube and hair follicles he was shocked. When he called us in, he said I should never have been able to concieve correctly the two we had. They were miracles because the fallopian tube follicles flowed BACKWARDS taking the fertile egg into them rather than sending them out.
I still think about what would these two children be. But I realize how blessed I am to have the two.
Now about symptoms: Lower back constant pain, bleeding clots continuously. Pain, lots of pain. No one believing me because Dr. said no sign of pregnancy. Emergency Dr. did not find the answer.
If you feel sick, in lots of pain, bleeding, pregnancy positive or negative and symptoms continue, demand a laporoscopy...even if you are young! Your life is in jepordy.Even my ultra sound missed the second one...the first one they were not developed yet.
Thanks for letting me share, it has been many years,
zzzmykids

Well I can honestly say that i have some what of the same symptoms. I had my tubes tied almost 5 years ago during a c-section with my second child. I got my last period in Jan. didn't get one in Feb. and then on march 18th, i had some brown discharge, which lasted for about 3 days, but only happened when i wiped, there was nothing on my panties or even on a pad.  took 2 pregnancy tests, and both were negative.

I have been in the dark about this for a while now. I have gained weight, been very tired, some nausea, bad indigestion, my belly is getting a lil bigger, and i always heard that with any children after the first, the symptoms show up faster then they did with the first one.

I don't have insurance right now, so trying to avoid a doctor, but would like to know what is going on myself.
