How far do you have to b to hearHeart beat for fetal?

Hi i went to the doc today. Earlier in da morning i had bleeding not heavy but not light either associated wit a lil mild cramp on my right side in my abdomen my gestation date is 6 weeks but fetal is 4weeks. It was no heart beat on a vaginal ultrasound. How far do you have to b to hear the heart beat

I first heard my baby's heart beat at 8 weeks and the doctor had to help me hear it as in tell me which sound it was.  Like a swooshing verse a beating.   I would not panic at this point, it is still early and many women do not see anything very early on.  So, when is your net doctor's appointment?
