Is a natural successful pregnancy possible w/bilateral hydrosalpinx and no reproductive assistance?

Was diagnosed 4 years ago w/bilateral hydrosalpinx and have had no procedures to correct. I am now 8.5 weeks pregnant from natural conception w/o any reproductive assistance. ( I know.. I'm shocked too.) I was told bacteria gathers in tubes and could effect embryo. Has anyone heard of a successful full term pregnancy despite damaged tubes?? Serious answers only, please.

Well, sure.  Things 'can' happen!  Have you had the dye test as of yet?  There are a percentage of women that just from having that dye shot in their tube will have it open up and they conceive after!  Had this happen to a friend.  However, you will want to manage things because you do NOT want a tubal pregnancy/ectopic pregnancy as that is not viable and could be life threatening to you.  IVF is a typical route for a blocked tube.  And is it just one tube?  If the other is functioning properly, every other cycle, the egg is on that side. :>)  IVF is invasive but not terribly. I'd probably skip repairing the tube and just go the IVF route if it were me and you are choosing.  Anyway, let us know how your appointment goes!

Hi Lovely People!

Im new here, 23 yrs and have been ttc for the past 6months, nothing happened until i went through an HSG which commented that i have Bilateral Hydrosalpinx and both Fallopian Tubes Blocked...oh my God i have never been disapointed in my life, my husband have been so supportive and i really just wish we can have our little one. i foundout on some sites that there are herbal treatments that can open up my tubes and clearly put them to normal shape and that i will be able to conceive naturaly...but now i dont wanna purchase this herbal Kits if they are fake and money suckers, im so desperate that i belive the testimonies of people on these sites. is there anybody that have gone through this herbal treatments and successfully got pregnant naturally after such infertility problems??? please help me im really up to anything right now but i need direction from experts.

Yes it is possible!  I have a 3 month old baby girl conceived via IVF after I was diagnosed with bilateral hydrosalpinx.  I didn't have surgery to have them removed despite the insistence from some Dr that I should and that fluid would leak out and destroy embryo.  I had a healthy, uneventful pregnancy and a delivered a beautiful full term, perfect baby.  Good luck!
