[ Raspberry Leaf Tea.. now, or no?!! ]

okay, so I've been seeing questions about this tea A LOT, but mine is a little different.. just wanted to get everyone's opinion before I get the chance to ask my OB or specialist I have to see:

I've read that this tea strengthens the uterus.. which is good I assume.. but does it soften the cervix?
I ask this because my OB THINK that I MIGHT have a short/small cervix, so I'm seeing a specialist on May 6th just to get a second opinion.. just to make sure I don't have preterm labor or miscarry.

I was just wondering if it'd be a good/bad idea to drink this tea?
I've read where some women wait until late in pregnancy, but I'm also read where some women start early b/c it's good for you, helps uterus, etc.

with me being at risk with my cervix though.. I didn't want to chance it. has anyone been given advice as far as this tea goes with their cervix??

thanks in advance for responses.. ftm, 25, and I'll be 12 weeks tomorrow!! (((: ❤

lol!! man, that would be soooo nice to have! but you're right, I'd still end up forgetting.. no matter how convenient haha!!

it's crazy how my brain has just QUIT since getting pregnant.. I've known since early February that I owed like $80 in taxes right?!!! well, I found out I was pregnant on Feb. 28th.. and we all know tax day is April 15th, guess who has YET to pay those taxes?!!! lol

it's too late to mail it now, so I'll have to pay using my debit card this weekend haha lol it's insane..

Haha yeah pregnant brains don't work very well, do they? We have this group chat app with my midwife, the student we're using and my hubby and I. I love it because I can ask questions like this instead of trying to remember until the next appt! The problem is, remembering it for a few min until I get it asked lol

ohhh okay!!! well that's good enough for me! I guess it's best if I just wait until later..

I had HIGH HOPES it helped strengthen the cervix so I was going to start drinking it before I saw the specialist, but of course not.. it was the uterus I was thinking about.

thanks for your response!! & good luck with remembering.. I can't remember anything anymore!! haha! I'll try to remind you lol!

I really don't know enough to give you a good answer, but I worked at a birth center for 3 years and they didn't start the moms on the tea until later pregnancy. I have some in my cupboard but plan to wait. I'm glad you brought this up, because I've been meaning to ask my midwife the same thing and keep forgetting. Maybe I'll remember now :)

well I guess that makes sense!! I've just read too much about it.. I need to stay off google I guess haha!! not a good idea for a ftm..

and thank you for the well wishes! I pray my cervix is okay too, but I agree.. I probably will wait either way.. luckily I do like tea! lol I've always added cream & sugar.. I'm a coffee addict, but some teas are good haha!

thanks for your response! I'll probably wait until the late 20's to start it.. wish me luck!! lol (((:

I personally dont think itd exactly be worth much to start right this second, but I'm a ftm, so I dont know much about anything of this sort  I started drinking it at 29 weeks  I personally dont like the taste and chug it down I only drink it because of what I read. and I do 3 cups a day. I heard that it can cause contractions... so I started drinking later in my pregnancy just in case. but idk if thats true... if you enjoy tea, I see no harm (other than you may have a short cervix hopefully you don't and all is well♡) but if not, I wouldn't start till later (:
