* updating my lady friends!! (((: *

okay, so all of you were right.. I worry wayyy too much & our baby is perfectly fine! lol

we went to our OB appointment this morning - 13w6d & "Baby A" seemed to be resting peacefully (he/she is not going to be a morning person.. just like mommy & daddy lol), heartbeat was great, and he/she has grown soooo much in 4 weeks!!! spine looked great also.. my OB has a somewhat older ultrasound machine so there was NO guessing of the gender, but we should get a pretty detailed look of things when I see the specialist about my cervix on May 6th! (((:
oh, and she didn't say anything about the Subchorionic Hemorrhage.. so I'm hoping it's gone?

her ONLY concern is my colon disease (Ulcerative Colitis) keeping me from gaining weight. I NEVER went
over 105-110 lbs. until recently (I did good to get where I'm at), but when I got really sick from my disease I got down to about 95 lbs. finally got up to 125'ish at one point. well, 4 weeks ago & today I'm holding steady at 122lbs. she says as long as I'm not losing weight we're okay, but she also said I'm at that point where the baby is going to be taking all of my nutrients & I need more.. SOOO she suggested Carnation Breakfast Essentials - I used to drink these after I lost so much weight from my disease..

I guess I'm just aggravated b/c MY disease could be hindering my unborn.. "/ definitely going to make it a habit to drink a couple of these a day though & continue with my prenatal vitamins, and everything should be fine!!

I can NOT thank all of you ladies for your support, prayers, talking sense into me when I needed it, and for telling me to chill out when I needed to chill outttt!! lol sometimes I know what I need to do, say, etc. BUT it totally helps to hear it from other mommies.. good, kind-hearted, caring mommies who are as amazing as some of you!!

I love you all so much, thanks for reading, and please continue to keep us in your prayers!!!
prayer works!!! ((((((:

lol I know right?!!

& yes, it does get frustrating.. it sounds like yours is a little more frustrating than mine though!! maybe I'll try putting it in something like applesauce.. just to push it through more other than just drinking a lot behind it & that's it.

just messaged you back!!! (((:

Lol, I'v had UC for so long since 2010 (a month before i got married i found out ) that i forgot what it's like to be "normal" lol. I figured out how to accept your request. Have to go to the main page my profile and accept. As for the meds i dont know. I researched and found that some people put the inside of the pills in applesauce so it can get to the intestines. I haven't tried it because i dont have difficultly taking them i just hate taking them 3pills 3times a day plus suppositories every night. I sometimes skip a night if im feeling great amd get right back on if i start to feel aggravation, lol.

I was prescribed Pentasa capsules (4 a day.. 500 mg each) sooo..
I was taking 2,000 mg twice a day.. oh, AND just wondering if you know.. is it okay to open the capsules & swallow the beads back to back? he says he's not sure if the medicine has time to make it to my large intestine, but I CAN NOT and DO NOT swallow pills. I choked on a pill back when I was like 17 and haven't swallowed one since. I refuse.

I quit taking them in January (b/c I got brave and wasn't having any problems) & I know that's NO excuse to stop taking a medication I need.. my parents & fiancé have fussed me out enough for me to realize I've got to start taking it again, BUT I haven't talked to my gastro doctor since I got pregnant. not sure if it's safe or not, but I WILL find out.
