37w2d 2nd baby not engaged

I went 41.5 weeks with 1st baby, and had zero engagement or any kind of progression. OB said I had a very tight pelvic curve and said baby getting shoulder disotia or broken bones during delivery...an still needed c section were almost sure things. So we did a c secion. This time I'm 37 weeks 2 days and baby's head is on top of pubix bone. C section is planned at 39 weeks. But my sternum and bottom ribs hurt so bad it is unbearable. It was not this bad last time. I assume is because baby can't drop and engage. But both babies are similar in size for gestational age. Anyone experience this? How did you get relief? I've tried the tylenol OB suggested and seen a cardiologist to be safe. No issues noted.
