Absolutely petrified

I'm 37/6 and baby is still breach as nd it's my first, went to the hospital today expecting to get a date for a planned section, unfortunately that's not what happened, they are fully booked so i have to go back next Friday to see if there's a space, if i can't get a space n i fall in labour  I'd either have to get a n emergency c section (hmmmm) or I'd have to give birth with him  breach, there's no other hospital around were i could go to for breach baby's n km absolutely c as cacking myself, after the hospital i went home n burst into tears cos i know that there are more n higher risks, I've had a brilliant pregnancy no sickness or anything and now this.

I'm sure everything will turn out fine, they tried turning him last week but they couldn't

My second child was transverse breach .Meaning she lay across my belly sideways...anyway they did a procedure where they move the baby gently into to correct position...it is uncomfortable but not internal...idk if the do that with standard breach, but my daughter was born a week later (a week early) vaginal and fat and happy. GL no matter the outcome...my mother had twins in the eighties and one was breech...he was delivered vaginally and was healthy and fine...don't stress to much mamathere are options.

They call it an emergency section, doesn't have to be life threatening it's an unplanned operation were they don't have much time to fully prepare read up on it, n because they don't have much time to prepare there's more Chance for infections etc that's why they call it an emergency section, n there's no way I'm giving birth breach as there is more risks for baby and the fact as it's my first, good luck ladies

Sorry computers being weird but cont. From last post if the baby hasn't turned that's not an emergency not life threatening so the risk is the same for planned and unplanned c sections

Well there is a difference unless you have a problem or baby has a health problem  it would be considered a unplanned c section not emergency in a emergency case it would be something like heart rate going down or something serious if its just baby hasn't turnedturned

If ur able, I would go to next state. Like, where I live, we've got one main hospital chain with like two spaced out between a bunch of 'cities'. However, only one of those hospitals will do labor and delivery. The next state up isn't too incredibly far away (interstate and bridge) and if I was being treated the way u r, I'd make the trip and just try to hotel it or something. U shouldn't have to b put on the back burner like this. It's dangerous for u and the baby. Not cool.

I feel your pain. I'm 37 weeks also and my baby is sideways.  I'm new to this state and the doctor here is totally worthless. I had a midwife foe my other pregnancies and those were natural and ridiculously easy. I really don't want a cesarean either
