Mine is 46. My doctor had me taking a folic acid supplement on top of my prenatal due to his age. From the studies I have read, the only real risk of paternal age is an increase of autism spectrum disorders in the fetus' children (so grandchildren). There seems to be no apparent developmental delays in the children of older fathers.

I don't know for sure but I have read that the risks increase when a man is over 50 and a woman is over 40

My parents had me when they were 40 and 46. I turned out fine no major health issues or anything. Tell him to het a health examine, but I dont see why he would ave any major issues.

My husband is 39 now and we are planning on having 2 more when he is in his 40's. He read somewhere that there are slightly increased risks when men are over 40 but not as increased as when a woman is over 40. I say, what will be will be. The risks won't stop us from completing our family.

My partner is 41 and a father of 7. There is nothing wrong with his goods. He smokes as well which I hate but he still can produce healthy happy babies. If you're both happy to try then get making :-)
