Any mom's around 34 weeks retaining water badly

I noticed yesterday I weighted myself and I weighed myself this morning and lost 4 pounds. I was shocked and I was told by my doctor to go on a diet because I gained 10 pounds in 2 weeks. I knew it wasn't my diet, but my body is holding onto water like no tomorrow. Have any of you ladies had this problem too ?

My feet and hands are so swollen it's hurts :(

It's definitely water retention,  at 34 weeks I started to swell extremely bad... my diet is fine and I drink plenty of water but my body is retaining so much water that I cannon wear one pair of shoes now and my feet swell like big balloons within minutes after I get out of bed in the morning.... try keeping your feet elevated above your heart while you sleep it helps me alot to avoid so much pain... my toes start to hurt after my feet have been swollen too long. I'm 36 weeks now and by doing that I've been able to manage the swelling thus past week fairly well agile still working. Good luck! I wouldn't go on a diet though,  I gained 10 pounds in 2 weeks and it's mostly water weight... but walking will be good for you to help with labor in a few weeks! Hope it all works out for you!

I was having that problem like crazy when I was pregnant (I just gave birth 2 weeks ago)! I was put on bed rest due to other medical reasons and the swelling went down. The moment I had our son, my feet were swollen again. The nurse, like you were told, suggested I wear pantyhose or long socks and the socks really helped. I wore them day and night for a couple of days and it went away. Now, if I could get my fingers back to normal size then I will be happy. :) Good luck and best wishes!
