Any responses welcome :)

Just over 4 weeks ago I unfortunately had a miscarriage at 7.5 weeks. I bled for about a week and my HCG levels dropped to 494 by the time I stopped bleeding. The last week I have been feeling a little tired, emotional etc so I had some bloods done to check everything was ok. My HCG level came back as 18 on 15.5.15. Today I had a small bit of cramping and some brown discharge when wiping (TMI, sorry) and decided to take a pregnancy test. To my surprise a faint positive came up but I'm well aware it could be left over hormones. What is confusing is that I thought home pregnancy tests only picked up 20 or higher surely not 18 or potentially lower now as its 3 days after my test.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I've conceived straight after a miscarriage....so no period in between just miscarriage then the next month instead of a period i was pregnant. It can absolutely happen and we ended up with our eldest daughter out of it. Wait another week or so as hard as it may be to wait.. and have another test. False positives are not as common as negatives, you just may be pregnant again and if you are I hope it all works out this time. I know how devastating a loss can be on your body and soul. Good luck.

I would talk to your doctor cause i had a miscarriage at 14 weeks and i kept high levels for a month or more and i could get a positive test for 3 months after the whole thing. I eventually had to go to my doctor and get medicine to start my period regularly again and medicine to get my hormones back in order. And now i am waiting the areival of my second baby. Whom by the way was due two days ago lol. But i couldnt get pregnant while my hormones were out of wack and my doctor told me its normal for your cycle to be a little wacky after that. So talk to your doctor an let them know what is going on.
