Baby #7 an scared

I am 29w an 5d today and i am more nervous to have this baby then any other of my 6 children, i don't know if the labor an delivery pain is still fresh in my mind because my youngest is 1 and a half or whats going on. But i also have a 3 year old an wasn't this scared last time. Im literary terrified i have nightmares and anxiety all the time of thinking of the pain i have to indure soon i have received an epidural everytime but i feel it loses its effect each child i have. Is anyone else scared of labor an delivery and how do you ease your mind?

I had pitocin with both because I was 42 weeks with my first and my twins I was at 38 weeks and they were already 7lbs each.

Each mom is different and each pregnancy is different.

No. I can be a wimp at times. Contractions don't scare me. My oldest I was in labor for 36 hours and my twins I was in labor for 10 hours. My midwives kept me laughing the whole time so it didn't bother me.

Wow those are both long labors im usually only in labor for 4 hours with all of my babies but the pain is so intense i literally feel like im going to die, maybe its the pitocin that males it so painful but im thankful now they are so fast.

Yes. Even when they suggested my twins be delivered c section I told them no that I was more than capable of giving birth. Theu said that most moms prefer c section because some moms get tired after the first baby comes out. They let me and it was the best experience. Painful but best. The only thing I worried about was food.

You can ask for your epidural drip to be upped. I could still feel it all and move because mine was so light. I opted to stay that way because it took the enough of me edge off i had stopped cussing ;)

Also picton makes it twice as painful labor may take longer but maybe try avoiding picton this time and the combo should make it easier.

Good luck!

Hey I don't know if it'll  make you feel better but I had 3 kids with no epidural and survived lol You'll be good, if you can avoid pitot in, I'd suggest that. It makes it worse.

Baby #6 for me was the most painful but on the other hand my labors last no more then four hours but those hours are very painful. Ive had patocin with every labor an that causes it to speed up to the max an the pain is extream lol. You still have time for the baby to turn. I know with my 3rd baby the day of deliver the nurse got on top of me an pushed the baby down she was sideways an i did not want a c-section an it was successful. Try to not worry you will be fine either way my family member had a c-section an she said it wasn't bad after wards. Ill keep you in my prayers

34 weeks and 1 day, first baby as well lol scan last week said she was 5lb 2 already but I take them with a pinch of salt. I don't know how I'm not nervous, my pain threshold isn't brilliant and I know it's gonna hurt! I guess maybe I'm being quite positive and optimistic about my ideas for dealing with the pain lol this one should be a breeze for you! Was baby number 6's birth not as straightforward?

Thank you those are great ideas. How far along are you? My baby was also breech at 29w 1d but when i went back to the dr a few days later at 29w an 4d an got an ultrasound she was head down but a couple of my baby turned around 34 weeks an they were big about 9lbs so i wouldn't worry to much you should be fine. How are you not scared of labor? Lol how many other pregnancy have you had?

I'm not scared of labour itself, but my baby is currently breech and I'm terrified they'll make me have a c-section which I really really don't want for so many reasons. Its keeping me awake at night then when I drop off and wake up its there again, and it's constantly going round in my head, people keep saying she still has time to turn but each week she's getting bigger and running out of room :( I try reading a book to take my mind off it which works until I'm tired and fall asleep, and have downloaded a couple of games on my phone as well, don't know if they'll work for you, hope you feel better soon x
