My mom came down early because doc was sure baby would come early before August was out. Well nope she had other plans. After two trips l&d for clear liquid discharge on 9/3 and 9/6 I was starting to think my baby girl was going to send me over my due date. My mom was starting a new job and had to fly back to Alabama on Sunday on our way to airport I just had to stop for lunch. We a few extra minutes we park about to eat in the courtesy lot of airport my water breaks. After my two false alarms the felt the exact same I was in no hurry to get to hospital. After both prior trips to labor and delivery I was well aware that I was have contractions I could not feel. So after trying to wait it out to see if this was the real deal and putting my mom on a flight back to Alabama I get my fiancee to make the trip to hospital. We get her about 2:45pm they check and confirm that my water had broken they put me in a room and start potocin to increase my contractions for delivery. I arrived being 2cm 50% thinned. They did not check me until they got my contractions to be 1min apart for two hours. They check at about 7:45 I am 4cm 70% effaced.Nurse tells at this point I am the only person on the floor in labor and if I want an epidural I have to get it now because the anesthesiologist was leaving. Check me again at 9:00 I am still 4cm but 90% effaced. They come in at 11:00 and tell me I have to come off the pitocin because my baby girls heart rate keeps dropping. She informs me that we will have to allow my body to make contractions on its own so I felt like it was the beginning all over again. They stop pitocin and I prepare for call it a night. We at 12:30 the Nurse came to get vitals and I asked her if I should be feeling so much pain and pressure with the epidural she decides to take a look I am 5cm 100% effaced and she could feel baby's head but could not get a read on baby heart rate. She call for a second opinion and set of hands to help her locate heart rate. Charge nurse comes in measures me at 7cm and calls for all hands on deck to get my doctor and prepare me for emergency c-section after my doctor get in the room maybe ten minutes she measures me at 9.5cm and tries several things to get heart rate stabalize. She looks at me and says I can give you about 5minutes to push this baby out or I will have to do a c section. By the grace of God, help of my fiancee and all the nurses on the floor after 6 pushes she was out. Born 9/8/14 @ 2:06am with a full head of hair. She is amazing took us a full 24hours to get the breastfeeding under our belts but we are both doing great and expecting to go home tomorrow. Madilyn Lenise is her name.

In case I missed it, how much did your precious Madilyn weigh and how long was she? So happy to hear that everything turned out well for both of you. I'm sure you were very scared. God was watching over you and Madilyn. Congratulations to you, baby girl and Daddy.
