Bedrest w/ children

Well I've been placed on very strict bed rest due to possible preeclampsia and preterm labor. But I have a 4yr old and a 4yr old who are begging me to take then to the park and it's killing me because I can't. I feel so helpless and like a bad mother. I'm trying not to beat myself up but I can't help it. It's actually kinda depressing me.

I am SO scared of being put on bedrest bc of this reason...I hv a 2 yr old. I would see if a friend or family member could come get your kids once a wk at least. I know its hard but it'll be over soon.

I would call in reinforcement.. call your mother/mother in law, girlfriend, anyone that can pop by and take the kids out for the day to give you some rest..

I'm due July 26th but they're already discussing taking him this weekend because of all the problems I've been having mainly the preeclampsia. It's just my kids are so used to mommy being up for anything

Maybe have family get them out of the house so they are not driving you crazy!  It is not your fault and you should not feel bad you need the rest better to be safe than sorry

I had preterm labor contractions too and placenta previa and I am on bed rest as well with a 4 year old. Try to explain to your 4 year old that you are weak due to baby inside. My son understands that.  When are you due?
