Last pregnancy I had a bad episode of palpitations so I went to the er and they ran some tests on the EKG machine.  Everything was normal, the doc there explained the amount of blood your heart pumps almost doubles by the end of the pregnancy.  There are also triggers such as stress, anxiety, even chocolate and caffeine can cause them.  I would let your doc know because for it to happen constantly is a lot different than just here and there.  Good luck with your pregnancy!

Have your doctor check your thyroid for abnormalities, i have hypothyroidism and my heart sometimes has palpitations. It's better to know now and be treated than to wait.
