Breathlessness and purple finger nails

Im in the very early stages of pregnancy (7 weeks), and for the past 2 weeks or so I have had some very odd symptoms that im not sure are normal. I become breathless just from talking sometimes, im always freezing cold andmy nails wi turn purplish eespecially when im really cold. I do have a dr.s appt but am unable to get in til mid October, so my question is is it worth a trip to the ER or has anyone experienced this before?

Thank you ladies for your feed back, I really appreciate it.  Ill call my Dr tomorrow and see if I could get in any earlier, if not ill go to the ER. Better safe then sorry.

Purple nails can also mean not enough oxygen is traveling through your blood stream. Next time it happens I would go to the ER or call your doctor and tell them what is happening and see if they can squeeze you in sooner.

I am about five weeks and I too get short of breath alot. Just for doing simple things like walking to the restroom sometimes! As for the purple finger nail things, im not so sure,but I do know that im always cold as we'll, and purple means cold so maybe you are just extra cold and should drink more hot chocolate and bundle up. =)
