Breech baby

I'm 36 weeks, my husband and I are expecting our first child and he talks to everybody about it, he asked a midwife what to do and take to the hospital since the day is getting closer. She told him I could register for deliver and have paperwork ready prior to due date that way I don't have to worry about that part, and also told him that doctors will find any excuse to conduct a c section because it's more expensive (more money for hospitals ) surely enough I went to my appointment and asked the doctor about registering she said I can do it the same day,  then she told me baby is breech and if he doesn't turn by next 2 weeks I would have to do a c section.  I was so upset cause I don't want a c section.  I been looking in the internet and they are many exercises to turn a baby plus plenty of time for him to move in position. I am convenced some doctors see you as a number only, not like a person

Doctors do not suggest c sections for monetary reasons.   They suggest this for the saftey of u and your unborn child. If they do not suggest a c section for a breech baby and u have a serious complication (which is likely bc it's much more risky) u can sue for malpractice.   Their goal is to keep u both healthy.  I hope ur baby turns and u get to have a vaginal delivery.  Ask your doctor about an attempted rotation of ur baby.  There are risks involved but some doctors will try to spin the baby with about a 50% Success rate. Good luck.

I think you should ask about ways to get the baby to turn or try to exhaust all options before. But just remember if baby is in distress they will want to do a c section. I used to feel the same way about a c section. A friend of mine had a breech baby as well and was fighting to not have a c section. The baby finally turned last minute but was in distress and let her deliver anyway. The baby had a bowel movement and swallowed a bunch of stuff into his lungs it took him 48 hours to breath on his own. So now I have all my options open. Believe me I will not let them just make a decision for me without explaining why and what they could do before they go a certain route. But if something is safer for myself and the baby I will make that decision even if it wasn't my original birthplan.
