Can anyone smell the "baby scent" on themselves?

Have any of you ladies been told you smell like a baby? I've been told this for weeks now, but it's crazy because I've been smelling it for months. After a bathroom trip I smell it more. My discharge either smells like a newborn or nothing and my stool sometimes smell like baby poo also. My bf/hubs always says I smell like a baby but so does family members and random ppl I encounter. I am now 38 weeks. Just wondering... did he pee and poo inside already? If that's what it is why was I smelling it as early as 2nd trimester? Thanks in advance!

Lol, no it's nothing to do with baby peeing. They pee throughout ur pregnancy and drink the amneotic fluid. Sounds gross but it's how their digestion e system starts to work. The smell will be your own hygiene being good.

I found that I had a smell. It got really strong after baby was born. For months after baby was born, every time I sweat it smelled sweet. I think it may have something to do with hormones and milk production.

It probably has something to do with your breast milk

My husband says I have a baby scent Lol. I don't smell baby from myself so not sure how that is

I wish I smelled like a baby! Haha. I just sniff the baby laundry after I do it, it smells so good!

@babyElijah15- I'm not sure if you know what a baby smells like but the ones I've been around all have the similar  smells. I have 26 nieces and nephews (23y-6mos old) so I've been around enough to know what it smells like. AND I can smell anything from a mile away even when I'm not pregnant. So this wasn't hard for me to quickly identify what and where it came from.

@breastmilk theorist- The breast milk thing I want to believe but I'm not leaking and it comes from down below. Which is why I wondered if he was going potty inside. I know at 38weeks babies can go both 1&2 inside or it can remain in their bodies.

I guess it's just my hormones and possibly even my diet...who knows. Just thought maybe out of the many women and sometimes men that cruise thru would have experienced this as well.

Yes, I have experienced it too.  I sometimes smell a baby's poopoo around me and I keep wondering if all is well or maybe it's the baby who has eased itself inside me. It's funny, but my little daughter sometimes goes like "hei, have you flatulated?", which makes me believe she smells it too.  I know this has nothing to do with hygiene because I'm a 'hygiene freak'.

Yassss. Me too! I thought I was crazy but knew I smelled the scent of a newborn and later on noticed the baby poo scent like the baby was already there. Has to be pheromones and the sensitive smell for those of us who can smell ourselves.
