I was in the same boat. I have a 7 yr old boy and had my 2nd boy last year and now pregnant with my 3rd. I feared the same but I love them so much I couldn't imagine life without them. They are so different and love eachother so much its anazing. I cant wait intil this one comes
But all of the comments that everyone has left hv been extremely helpful and I dont feel so bad anymore. Thx again :)
I really thank all of you for the replys. I had my son when I was 23 and I was in the Army and the dynamics of being a mother were different then then they are now. My son was born really sick so it made us closer. I had 4 deployments throughout his life and that made us closer. I was a single mother w/him and that made us closer. So my love for him surpasses anything else and Im just really scared that I wont hv that type of bond with my nxt child.
Im about to have #4 and can honestly say i love all of my kids unconditionaly, no one more than the other. I will add i love them all in very different ways its hard to explain. A mothers love for her son is different then for her daughter. But by no means any less. Youll be fine!! Good luck
Sorry for the typos and double comment, my phone isn't fun to type from. :)
me and helped me grow. We are best friends. I love my 9 year old because she's as of now, my baby girl and she has a heart of gold, so loyal and loving, and once my third is born, I'll love him/her because they're my last and final baby. And I'm hoping for a boy! We're mothers, our love extends to even children who are not our own. You'll be alright :)
Although I've never once wondered this, I am on my third pregnancy, and I am also thie third, and youngest of fmy siblings, I can say I am my parents favorite, no doubt about it. It doesn't matter who comes first, second, third, etc., a mother's love is unconditional! You may love them differently, but your love will be great for all of your children. I love my 14 yr old because she was my first, I had her young, she saved
I think every mom wonders that. I'm on number 4 and I can tell you the love I feel for all of them is the same and its a love you will never feel for anyone bit your own children
You love all your children the same. It's just this new baby is going to need more care and attention. Just make sure to include your eldest and remind him he is just as special and loved. Totally normal
Ohh this is something I wonder about everyday. My first child is a boy and I love him dearly..but I've always wanted a girl so now that I'm having a girl I'm scared to love her more cause she'll be my princess. (He's loving and caring always shares with me so I really hope he does the same with her)
A mothers love is far going and never ending. It stretches to amazing lengths. You'll be surprised how much love you'll feel for both of them :)
Thx u all for replying. I soooooo needed to hear that!! I was starting to question my abilities as a mother.
I felt that way when I had my 2nd son I was so sad my oldest would feel left out BC he was w his dad half thewk and w me n my hubby the other half. He is so cute w his brother it made me love him more than before! I def was scared I wouldn't love them the same And boy its amazing what your heart can do!! I do look at my oldest as my baby though lol he will always be my first born so to me he is my baby not my youngest lol is that strange??
my husband had this same fear with our second. the amount of love you have to give will grow to allow you to love this child as much as your first, believe me.
You are not a bad mom!!! Before my 2nd came, I wondered how I could love another baby as much as my first. Then came my 2nd son... it was an amazing love. I honestly don't have favorites. Love them both so much. Each has their own personality to love and cherish. The saying a mothers love multiplies not divides is so true. I think it is hard to fathom how it works until you are in that moment. When your 2nd arrives, you will be in awe..plus you have a little helper that will love the baby too!
as a third child, i can a test that my parents love me as much as they do my eldest brother
