Can't afford to stop working

Frustrated and mad... I am 17 weeks and I work a full time job. I have to lift numerous 50 pounds bags and pick up people over 300 pounds on lift. I roll them up on a lift machine manually. Its really tuff work. Will this affect the baby?  I can't afford to go out on medical but I am afraid I am going to hurt the baby. I don't know what to do.

Its OK for u to do that type of work as long as u not lifting over ur head. Your doctor and body will tell u it's enough no one else can tell u that. I have known ppl to do more than that and have had healthy  babies but when it becomes to  much let them know.

Here in Virginia it is leave without pay for 12 weeks. Basically your job is safe for 12 weeks  There is no light duty as well.

I'm not sure how the laws are over there, but in my country, when you officially tell your employer you are pregnant(and give him a medical certificate) he is legally bound to offer you proper pregnancy-safe work or let you go on paid leave. It seems to me like your employer is forcing you to perform unsafe tasks for you and the baby, and there should be laws against that.

I wrk as a NAC at a nursing home, real heavy n frustrating at times, n stressful, always a hustle, very little help. Also a full time job. N really hard schedule one day off n 4 or 5 days of wrk n again one day to rest. Im always tired but im thankful to my partner that is so very helpful n patient in my pregnancy. I hardly clean n cook, play with my 1 year old baby very little. I want this pregnancy to be over soon. Im wondering on asking for PT but I feel is not worth it since I still have to pay fr babysitting n gas. But if I stop working we'll struggle. So I'll wrk till my body tell me no more. My doctor said is fine I'm ok... To listen to my body... N later I can go to light duty wrk.
