Cats do carry toxoplasmosis sometimes. . Usually Out door cats that eat birds and mice. If this was just a indoor cat then you should be fine but I would go to the vet to make sure just incase. Put the litter box downstairs or somewhere far away from you and get someone else to clean it if you can. If you have to clean it yourself then wear gloves, wear a mask and wash your hands. My sister had two cats when her twins were born and now they are 20 months healthy and happy. :)
Do not Google anything, all that does is provide information to freak out about. Just don't deal with the litter, or wear a mask when changing it.. you will be perfectly fine! My doctor actually made me promise to stay off Google for the duration of my pregnancy lol..
I have 2 cats and I'm 33 weeks and everything is fine. They just say u can't change the litter
Yes, just google toxoplasmosis and avoid touching their kitty litter.
