Craving Fast Food!!! :(

I've been really good thru out this pregnancy, about eating super healthy. No fried foods, sweets, fast food, sodas, ect. But this past month ALL I want is greasy fast food burgers n fries! It's all I crave! I figured we crave certain foods while pregnant, because we're possibly lacking something that's in those foods. But what could I be lacking that's in unhealthy fast food?? Do I give in to the craving/temptation? If I don't, I can't stop thinking about it & no other food seems to satisfy me! I've battled an eating disorder for 7 years now. And it's been really tough being pregnant but I've done great so far! It's hard for me to give in cause I feel like I'll just blow up huge! :( Is anyone else battling with strange or unhealthy foods??

Omg know what you mean! It depends on what kind of takeaway is appealling to you. If it's the greasyness that you're craving then try getting more healthy fats into your daily diet with avocados,  nuts and fish. If it's the chips and burgers then you may need more carbs in your diet like wholegrain bread and pasta and starchy veg like sweet potato. Also you might be deficient in some mlinerals like zinc and magnesium so make sure you're eating plenty of foods with these in them. Iron is a common deficiency in pregnancy so maybe check that out too.

I've been craving spicy chicken sandwiches from a local spot here. I also have terrible heartburn so I try not to eat them but i gave in at like 130 this morning. I had to run and get one. Definitely paying for it today. I say go for it. I wouldn't do it every day but every once in a while to calm the craving won't hurt.

Dig in! I haven't been very good this pregnancy but as good as you've been I say go for it. And even though its bad food it may be that fat the baby needs to plump up before birth. The last 6 weeks or so they put on quite a bit of weight!

I crave Mcdonalds and taco bell ALL the time. I eat it at least once a week. I say go ahead and dig in to your craving. Every once in a while won't hurt. You work hard and deserve to treat yourself!
