Eating challenges - nervous mommy!

Hi ladies, I'm a first time mommy and I'm currently 8 weeks and 2 days. Since I found out I was pregnant, eating has been a challenge for me. I'm disgusted about everything! The smells make me more nauseated than what I already am and the fact that I feel hungry every minute of the day doesn't help either! I'm so scared I'm not giving my baby the nutrients he/she needs. I'm trying my best to eat healthy but when I'm sick of everything else and eat egg sandwiches two nights in a row, I worry for my baby. Anyone going or went through a similar situation?? It would really calm down my nerves... thanks and good luck to you all!

I feel your pain. I'm 6 weeks right now and nothing sounds or looks good. I worry that I'm not eating enough too as just two weeks ago I was hungry about every 2 hours. I see food and get nauseous. I have to force myself to eat something and then hope I dont get sick. Plus I know that crackers are not enough lol.

Hahaha I have hypermeises and puke every meal every day for 6 months while on the medication.  Your baby is doing great.  I spend days in urgent care getting fluids.  As along as your drinking any fluids your babies fine.  I lost 10 pounds.  I would eat red vines and popsicle potatoes.

I eat more toast and crackers then I care to admit too. Most times it doesn't sound good but it's the only thing that stays down on a consistent basis for now. I asked my Dr about this and if there is any concerns right now since I've lost weight with this baby and she said as long as I can keep down fluids it will.be fine and we will see what happens the next trimester

I was like this with the baby I'm having now for about the first 13 weeks. I ate a lot of breads and ginger ale and felt sick all the time. You need to make sure to take tour prenatals, try before bed time to help with nausea.  Drink plenty of water and eat what you can. Before you know it your appetite will not just come back it may come back with a vengeance. I just ate a pint of ice cream lol..32 weeks now.

I'm 9 weeks in on my second pregnancy. I am also a licensed massage therapist.  Peppermint tea can help wonders and also rubbing peppermint essential oil on your belly in a clockwise circle will help. It eases the nausea and aids digestion, especially if you are constipated as well.

I went through the same thing oh goodness it lasted until 18 or 19 weeks. Anything with bread helped me. I didn't always keep it down but eating every 2 to 3 hours did help me not throw up as much.

Prenatals, and I ate a ton of fruit my first trimester because I was so nauseous.  Saltine crackers as well. Whatever you can stand to eat just stick too it until this passes, hopefully for your second trimester
