Ectopic Pregnancy?

Hi, I am experiencing severe abdominal pain and dizziness and a positive pregnancy test with HCG level of 3000. However when I did an ultrasound the doctor could not detect anything in my uterus. I am in the 4th week of pregnancy. He suspects ectopic pregnancy and has asked me to repeat the test after 48 hours. Is this ectopic pregnant and if yes, why could the doctor not detect it in the vaginal ultrasound? Should the doctor be able to detect the ectopic pregnancy or normal pregnancy if  I am in the 4th week of pregnancy with hog level of 3000? Could this be that I am having a twins and if so why is my uterus empty?

Please advise as I am very stressed.

Thanks,

I went to the hospital for pains and dizziness and was told there no baby in my womb and that its ectopic. Then i went to see some1 else and they said they can see a sac and a small spec which suggests that the baby not as far as whag mg dates say or is too small according to how big it suppose to be. I went for tests every 2 days. Im now 5 months and my baby is healthy. Always get a 2nd opinion.

Similar thing happened to me. I was positive pregnant and started bleeding, they could not detect the sac so they thought I had miscarried since my numbers went down. 5 weeks later my felopian tube burst almost killing me. Had emergency surgery to remove the tube and they nicked my artery closing me up which resulted in another emergency surgery. They told me they couldn't see it at first because it wasn't far enough along.

If you are experiencing severe pain and a ectopic is suspected, you need to go to the hospital. It can be life threatening. Better to be safe than sorry.

Same thing happen to me in 2013 but I wasnt feeling any pain but my doctor was able to detect my etopic pregnancy so I would get a 2nd opinion just to be on the safe side.. In 2014 I got pregnant again 10 months after my surgery and the doctor said they didnt see anything in my uterus and that my levels was too high at that stage of pregnant and I had 6 ultrasound and still couldnt find the baby so I went to another doctor b/c doctors can be wrong and they did another ultrasound and my new doctor was able to find my baby  at 8 weeks now I'm 34 weeks with a healthy baby girl...So dont give up hope...
