Lol yes I'm 19 weeks and I barely got the energy to exercise now. But I feel so much better after the workout
I'm starting to feel guilty for how much time I feel sleeping lol. I would rather sleep than eat sometimes so just imagine trying to motivate myself to exercise.
Maybe you need to change to something less tedious? Aerobics is a bit like dancing for me so easier to keep up with. I generally don't exercise outside of pregnancy :)
Keep in mind, girls, that your body will cope with pregnancy and labour better when you're fit. Speaking from previous experience. My body barely coped, i had to wear a hip brace to be able to continue to work and it took months to regain my strength after labour.
It really is worth it!
Xoxo
Im 38 weeks and taking a shower seems like a chore so i know how you feel i of course do it anyway and press on
Ugh yes. I exercised every day until I got too sick with HG... three months later, yesterday actually, I walked half a mile and did twelve lunges and I'm so sore. Im angry and discouraged. Before I got sick I was running 3 miles/day and lifting. I could do multiple sets of burpees and lunges. I dont want to try anymore :(
I used to work out everyday. When I got pregnant that went out the window. I tried, and I did workout here and there but further in to the 2nd trimester it got more difficult. I think every woman and every pregnancy is different. For me, I have no energy after housework, cooking, cleaning, and taking care of hubby. My ankles and feet have been swollen since 13 weeks, I started showing right away and got a big bump fast which made it very difficult to do anything without back pain, and I get lightheaded very easily since being pregnant. Besides working out I have stayed active, and if my feet can stand it I take walks still. But my advice would be do what you can. Don't push yourself. I have full intention on getting back to the gym after baby is born, but right now I need to focus on my health and safety so baby is ok.
I worked out my entire pregnancy and i had a great, easy pregnancy. No sickness or anything. Also i have lost a lot of weight already and had my baby just over 3 weeks ago and i havent even been able to work out yet. I dont know if that helped or its the breastfeeding, but i'd say its a mix. I do feel like people got sick of the fact that when they asked if i was miserable or ready to get that thing out, i always said no im fine or i feel good. Lol. It was rare if i felt miserable and that usually happened to be on days when i was feeling lazy and didnt workout. Keep it up, it really does help or at least thats what i strongly think :)
Thanks ladies for the encouragement and for encouraging other readers. I want a smooth as possible labor and from all the responses it looks like working out is the way to go. I walked on the treadmill and did the bicycle machine at the gym. Is there anything else I should do? Tomorrow imma push myself outta bed early so I can do yoga and maybe zumba afterwards.
I'm 28 weeks and exercise is definitely a chore, but once I am done I feel so energized.
