Fake boobs and breastfeeding..??

I had my lil guy last week and have been pumping and breastfeeding not gonna lie it hurts. My boobs look fake because of how hard they constantly are no matter how many times I pump or feed they r so sore/engorged. I'm about ready to cry! I don't wanna quit breast feeding but the pain is getting a little ridiculous. Any suggestions

I sometimes hand express and it works great for me.
Remember pumping is Sending a message you need more milk
"Supply on demand"
Try hand expressing hopefully it helps

I used the cabbages and successfully breast fed for 10 months. I only needed it for the 1st week or so of milk coming in.

Pumping encourages your body to produce more milk can you just breastfeed?

Keep feeding baby and pumping at regular times to prevent ur breasts from getting engorged.  The best way to relieve engorgement is to feed baby or pump, especially in the beginning since ur body is working OT to make milk and hasn't found its "groove" to make milk at a steady pace.  Besides the pain from breastfeeding goes away after the first few times if baby is latching on correctly.  Goodluck!!

Be thankful you can express that much milk. With my first I only ever got 1.5 oz total from both breasts.  Baby wasn't happy,  I was depressed cause I wasn't satisfying her.  It was a nightmare.  Praying this time around is different!

I wouldn't use cabbage, just hand express enough to make you comfortable.  I promise it doesn't stay this hard - your body needs time to regulate. Hang in there!

Cold cabbage leaves worked for me.
Maybe pump less??
It's new and it will settle down, the 1st part is always the worst! Good luck
