My boys had short femurs from the start. We were hopi g they'd catch up but they just keep falling further behind. At 37 weeks they measured nearly a full month behind. We're not worried though, it likely simply means that he will be of short stature same as me and his dad and there's always potential for growth spurts to correct it later on in life. I keep joking to my SO that maybe he's just all tibia :)
I did read a couple scare blogs on Google about short femur length but as far as medical professionals also are concerned they're truly nothing to worry about as long as everything else is normal!
Gosh i swear i havent enjoyed this pregnancy as much as i wish i could have. Been scared and anxious ... i pray u all have the best of wishes and thanks for replying.
Don't worry about it. They told me the same thing at about 35 weeks. Now I'm 40 weeks and everything's "normal". And they can be wrong anyway. And don't Google search anything lol! Leave it in God's hands. Even if anything was wrong with your baby you're going to love him either way :)
One of my friends was told that her son's legs were measuring short, and it was a constant source of concern during her pregnancy. He ended up being perfect, and the issue was his positioning and therefore the measurements they got were off.
Really!?
Thats great
I do feel better thank you
I hope all is well
Both my kids had shorter legs at first. I dodnt worry to much my husbands almost 6 foot im 4 foot 11. Not alot of room etc. Theyll be fine :) my two are fine now my daughter actually came out 9.1 pounds 23 inches long. Now shes 9 months 24 pounds 28.5 inches tall.
I really hope theres still enough time for that

Baby might hit a growth spurt yet. If your doctor isn't worried then you shouldn't be either.
Both. I guess they take an average of 3 measurements. One was like 64 another 62 another 63...
Im 5"8 and husband is 5"9.... i assumed i would have a taller baby...
