GIRL nursery themes?

Found out I'm expecting a GIRL. She will spend most her time in MY room but her actual nursery will be a shared room with her excited big 4 yr old sister. I am trying to pick a theme that will be cute for BOTH baby and sissy. I'm considering the brown/pink owl theme (big sissy really doesn't care). I also have thought about an enchanted forest type theme but need ideas for that and places to find items to fit that theme. Any other ideas or any thoughts on my theme ideas?

Well I'm baking our third boy and always wanted to do a little girls room! We were going to do lady bugs and lilacs. Babies r us had a super cute package but it's been a fee years since I saw it. Good luck... we get classic Winnie the pooh... again. lol

I saw a fb friends nursery and it was sooo beautiful! It was a very pale pink with silver stripes on the wall and clean white furniture and linens. It almost makes me want to paint... almost. I didn't like any themes either and pieced stuff together as I saw them and it looks beautiful

There weren't any themes I liked so I am going with a color scheme. I also like a foresty theme...I have found some cool wall decor on amazon that is trees and fawn and so I'm kinda just piecing my own stuff together.

Is having a theme an Anerican thing? I'm in Australia and we don't usually do a theme... Decor in nursery pretty much fits in with decor in the rest of the house (but with baby things in it of course) Good luck working it out :-)

Hmm.  Does the room have to have a theme?  If you can't settle on one theme,  just fill it with stuff you like the way you do all the other rooms in your house.

We're having the same dilemma.  Little girl due in april with another girl who will be 6 by then. My oldest has a horse theme room so we're just going to get simple crib bedding that coordinates with the set she already has and when little one moves into a bed in a few years redecorate the room for both of them.

What about a princess theme. You could paint a castle? Or the owls sound really really cute.
