Gender Mistake?

Have any of you ladies had an anatomy sonogram and was told a sex and ended up having the opposite sex? I'm j.w. because we found out we're having a baby girl day before valentine's day and I'm 19 weeks today.I asked the technician the accuracy rate and she said she hasn't ever been wrong.. Just wondering about your experiences! I'm almost done crocheting a link scarf lol.

At my anatomy scan, the tech was only 60% sure it's a girl. A little later she got a clearer view and bumped up her guess to 75% sure. I did a 3d/4d scan with my mom when I went home to visit a couple weeks later and that tech was pretty sure it's a girl too. This pregnancy is completely different from the one with my son, so I've been thinking girl from the very beginning anyway.

I'm on my 4th pregnancy. This is the first time I've ever gotten a wrong sex result. I got a 3D ultrasound at 14 weeks saying I was having a boy (good thing I did) because when I was 19 weeks I had the official anatomy scan and I was told I was having a girl. Of course my husband and I were confused so we went to another place and they CLEARLY saw the weiner between the legs, and so has EVERY other tech since then who has scanned this baby. I'm 8 months now and had I never gotten the 14 week 3D ultrasound, I'd have never known that the tech was wrong at my 19 week scan. That's scary to think about

I had an ultrasound 2 weeks ago. And doc said it was a boy but was only 80% sure. Then we did an anatomy scan day before valentine's and tech said it was a girl. she said she doesn't know what doc was looking at lol. So after that appointment we went to do a 3d and they also confirmed a girl =). My whole pregnancy I always thought it was a girl. So I guess my intuition was rite. P.S. I'm 20 weeks

My friend was told she was having a girl then she had boy and one of my coworker was today she was having twins boy's then she ended up having only one girl so sometimes don't trust 100% this technology!

My mom does ultrasound and she always says "I would bet my paycheck it is a girl/boy". If you are really worried have a little fun with the tech and see if they would bet their paycheck. Also at 19 weeks all the parts should be in the right places so I would say pretty accurate. Hopefully you will have another scan at 32 weeks to check and make sure baby is right way and placenta is in correct place. Just ask them to look again or anytime you have a scan is not like they aren't already there looking.

Congrats!

I have only known 1 person that was told wrong that was 7 years ago and on a military base. My husband has always asked the ultrasound tech how many times they have been wrong and this is baby #3 and they have been right everytime. We only know this time they are right because we had blood work done because of Trisomy 18 scare and it tells the sex of baby via DNA 99.9% a girl!
