glucose test!

Had my test this morning.. it was horrible! Not only starving and dehydrated but felt like I was gonna throw up and couldn't get comfortable then drinking that crap made me feel ten times worse. So glad its over! Good luck to anyone who hasnt done it yet!

Im so not looking forward to having this test done..i have to do the 3 hour one so have to fast from 9pm the night before..my appointment is 9am the following morning so its gonna be a long time fasting

I didn't have to fast for mine either.  I only have had to do the one hour one for each of my pregnancies.  Are you doing the 1 or 3 hour one?

I'm having mine done right now im in the UK I was dreading it I've had it with my previous 2 pregnancys and it was awful the drink the dizziness and hunger, but today the drink wasn't that bad for me and I haven't felt really dizzy or anything, thank god just waiting another 15mins to have last lot of blood drawn I've sent my other half to cafe to get me some food lol, hope it all goes well for you ladies x

The only one you really have to fast for is the 3hr. Unfortunately, I have done that one 2xs.I had the fruit punch flavor. It just tastes like extra sweet Hawaiian Punch

I've never fasted for a glucose test and could drink right up till I took it did the orange flavor both times it's pretty good lol. Passed both of them, them being both pregnancies lol

I was told no food for 12hrs but I could drink all the water I wanted up til a hour before drinking the stuff. I was lucky that I got the lemon/lime flavor. Tasted like flat 7up. I passed mine with flying colors. Good luck and don't stress to much.

I wasn't aloud to leave the office! They must be more strict bout it here.

Mines on Monday and I'm so scared of being sick and throwing it up. I have hyperemesis too

I didn't get nausea from mine, just felt a little dizzy. Be careful if you drink the stuff before driving in. And they said only water after I'd had the juice and I could eat normally otherwise.

It wasn't too horrible. I took the drink down like a champ and yes, it is uneasy on the tummy. I went to my vehicle and closed my eyes till my next one. That seemed to have helped big time verses sitting up in the Dr office

The drink wasn't that bad it was the being sick from not eating and trying hard not to throw up so didn't have to do it all over again.

I'm 28 weeks plus 3 days so probably 28 weeks. And that's nuts u could eat, I had to go 8 hours which my appt was first thing in morning but wasn't even aloud to have gum.. absolutely nothing or would mess up results, and I wasn't trying to do it again so I listened hha

Wow my doctor said I can eat, just not after u drink the juice. It was long but didn't taste that bad. Don't worry leaf_leaf its not so bad for most. It taste like flat soda.
