Shaking and crying... nightmares!

These nightmares are getting out of hand!  I'm just under 35 weeks, and a first time mom, and I keep having these awful nightmares.  I wake up shaking and crying.  I know sleepless nights are normal, and many pregnant women have bizarre dreams... But I can barely close my eyes now without seeing what I saw in my dream last night and my anxiety spikes. I am so ready to be a mom, and so happy, but lately these dreams are killing me!  Anyone else start getting horrible nightmares this late in pregnancy?

I understand I'm having the same issue I will wake up and cry because I keep dreaming that my son will be born disfigured or have abnormalities that the doctor didn't tell me about or that my husband will leave me and I keep telling them every day that I love him and I need him and I'm probably driving him crazy cause I keep saying that I don't have any idea how to deal with it and I end up sleeping during the day because I know I'm not going to sleep during the night time

These dreams can be extremely scary can't they but know they are only dreams and what you are subconsiously dreaming about is a fear that you have. I am scared of sids too and when my first babies were born we had the cot right beside our bed...and its set up there as of last night too....I barely slept a wink and would snooze with my hand close to feel them breathe. I also invested in one of those monitors that sensed if there was no breathing...maybe getting one of those might help a little of that anxiety about sids you're having? You will be a great mummy and I hope our bad dreams stop soon.

I took a child birthing class and we did infant CPR.  So the other night I had this dream that I woke up in the morning and realized my baby hadn't cried through the night (newborn).  I ran across the house and found my baby warm, but unresponsive in her crib.  I pulled her out of the crib and proceeded to start CPR, and within seconds, the baby transformed into the CPR doll from class, but I kept performing CPR like it was my baby I was trying to save.  I woke up crying my eyes out.  I couldn't even tell my husband about this dream because I didn't want to freak him out.  SIDS is my biggest fear.

I had a dream the other night that I was expecting my first son but because we were told we couldn't have boys I had arranged to adopt one at the same time...when the adopted baby arrived he was packed in a box like a courier parcel and when I opened it he was balled up at the bottom and looked grey and pale. We pulled him out and he felt fake and rubbery but slowly came to life and expanded to the size of a 1 year old and started talking like a 5 year old. It was pretty scary. I have had random nightmares with all my pregnancies it's pretty freaky sometimes. I can't wait to give birth we are due in only 6 days.
