I was induced on sept 10th with my seco.d boy. It wasnt a planned induction but when i went for my appt that mornibg i was already 6 cm dialated but my sons head was too high and i had a huge bulge of membrnes and my doc was worried if my water broke id have cord relapse because i had so much fluid. She sent me in for an nst where i was cobtractibg but very irregular they gave mr oxytocin at 2 pm which made my co.tractions stronger within about half hour. My doc came by the hospital at 7and i was still only 6cm so she broke my water and 40 mins lter my son was born. My labour was only 5 hrs and i had no epidural as my co.tractions were mabageable until my water broke but i dilated too quickly to get the epi. My experience was good with being induced. I was very happy to welcome it as i had false labour for 2 weeks before he was born!
I have been induced 3 times and didn't have a bad experience with any of them bc of the induction. I did have a hard time delivering the last two but that was bc they were big babies (the reason i was induced early with both of them) and I would have had a hard time delivering even if I hadn't been induced. None of mine resulted in a Csection and I didn't get sick during labor.
I was induced, I was so excited to have the baby i didnt really do my reasearch, being induced raises you chances for cesarean. Sometimes you obviously don't have a choice but its something to keep in mind. For me it was very diffucult because my contractions were right on top of each other and i stayed in labor for 36 hours 15 of those without pain meds and ultimately ended with emergency c section. HOWEVER, that is my experience, my mom on the other hand was induced 3 times and went all natural with all 3. I am in no way trying to freak you out but i wish i had been a little more informed before hand, good luck and remember that in the end we just want healthy babies and whatever your experience is it will be worth it in the end!
Oh okay. Yeah I have high blood pressure so they decided to induce me then. My plan was a natural birth with no epi but who knows what will happen. Pretty much what they say. Haha
I had to be induced due to preeclampsia. I wasn't prepared because I was only 35 weeks. Thank God my son came out healthy. I didn't want an epidural but I was told I had no choice because of my blood pressure. I was induced at 8:30am my water broke on it's own at 9:30am and at 11:39 my son was born. It took no time at all. I was actually expecting to be in labor a lot longer.
I really want to go into labor on my own. I heard the contractions aren't as harsh as they are on pitocin. Plus that was my plan in the first place. Natural hoping it happens this time.
The due date I had from Kansas was the 5th and from south Carolina was the 7th I had her the 6th of June I didn't know it but I was already in labor when I got there my contractions were spiking off the paper and all I felt was pain in my back and like a hiccup in my tummy
Oh my! How far along were you?
I was induced with my first daughter 6 years ago so IM sure the meds are different now but the only problem I had was throwing up due to lack of food the started the medicine @9 am and when they did the contract I didn't know I was having got like 10 times worse I opted to get the epidural the day went on and they broke my water and since I couldn't stop throwing up the have my a Lil extra boost of my epidural and I ended up falling asleep when I woke up I told my mom it felt weird down there and called the nurse in the nurse was preparing to check my and all she did was left the cover and put right back down and went and got the doc 3 pushes later I had her it was 157 pm
