I was induced with all 3 of my pregnancies.  I had great deliveries with all of them . I was induced because I was way past my due date all 3 times. I would do it again if it came down to it. My longest delivery was 4 hours. I didnt have a an epidural with any of them either. It all depends on the person. Everyone is different.  Good luck!

I think it depends on your body ad your doctor process!! i was induced and once I reached 6cm my water was broke and my epidural was tapered off and the process was fairly quick with little feeling!! It was great!!  I was 41+1 at the time!

I was induced with my first and it wasnt bad. Painful for a while bc nurse had monitor on me wrong and wasnt seeing my contractions on machine. She had iv turned up too high and finally saw her mistake and fixed it. Because of that i had the epidural as soon as i could and the rest was relaxing.

I was induced with my second one and would never do it again unless I absolutely had to. I ended up having to get shots to try and stop contractions BC they were lasting 20+ min long and shots to stop blood loss. It was a painful terrible experience. Every one is different and it's important to listen to your Dr but make sure they give you all your options.

I had two inductions one which I went natural no pain meds or anything and the other I had pain meds. My labor went by quick not long at all and I actually prefer to be induced.

If it were really that bad your doctor wouldn't encourage it. In most cases (even if you weren't induced) labor would still be long and it would still be painful. Don't let horror stories make up your mind about anything. Trust your doctor over people who don't have any medical background. Yes purple will always have opinions but your doctor would never do something that would risk you or the baby.

I was induced bc I was over due and doc wanted me to be induced. I was in labor 4 hours and I had zero complications. I pushed for 10 min and she was a big beautiful baby. I only got 1 stitch. Not every women has complications with an induced labor. If ur doc is telling u its best to induce then u ahould trust ur doctor.. ask ur doc questions and learn more about the good and bad things about induction. Hope this helps

I was induced with my first born. It wasn't bad. Intense contractions but I was only in labor 5 hours.

It definitely increases risks of other complications including c-sections because the medication is forcing your body to do something it's not fully prepared for. It can be very dangerous.
Unfortunately some doctors (and MANY patients) think it's faster and easier and allows them to have babies "on schedule" so they think it's worth taking the risk. Not worth it to me for sure.

Was induced with two of mine.  Both labors oy 7-9 hours. One push both times. Second induction no pain meds . Everyone handles it diffrently you never know how your body will react. It can go quickly and not be painful. Or last hours been unbearable pain and end up not dilating and needing a csection.

I'm a ftm but from what I've researched inductions generally lead to longer more painful deliveries but that's not the case for everyone. I personally don't want an induction or sweep I just want bub to come when he/she's ready. Unless there is a medical reason to do it Id let it all happen naturally x

I don't think its bad. Sometimes it has to happen. Specially if you wanna get things going and ur doc gives u the OK. I don't see how its bad. I've went into labor naturally and been induced also..when I got induced I chose the epidural cause I know the contractions are stronger. But everyone's different.
