Ice skating ?

My hubby recently took out 2 1/2 year old ice skating for the first time last week and she loved it.  He had to drag her off the ice! I stayed on the bench and took a zillion pictures.  My question is my mom wants to take me, my sister and our toddlers skating next week to watch the girls.  My hubby will not be able to go.  Do you think it is ok to skate while pregnant?  I am only worried about falling and since i will be holding my toddlers hands and keeping her balanced and therefore, i will not be going fast!  I used to figure skate and play hockey so i do know how to skate but i am a little leary about falling and injuring myself/baby! I just wanted some unbiased opinions. My hubby and his family will probably not want me to go as they treat me like i am made of glass (in a loving way)! FYI i am 17 weeks almost 18 by then with 2nd baby!

Yea it's a lil risky, I wouldn't do it simply cuz u can't always avoid a fall and, the ice will make it harder for u when u try to break ur fall with ur hands.  I would go but just watch..

Ooh ya.. I know women always get really upset about falling and doctors always reassure that it's probably fine but falling on the ice seems like so much more impact. Plus my balance is so off with being pregnant my 4 yo has gotten really close to knocking me over on stairs and stuff just by pulling me the wrong way. Probably shouldn't chance it!

These are my thoughts as well. Just needed to be reassured i think.  I dont want my little one to miss out on stuff though because i cant go with her. I will see if i can wrangle someone else to take her on the ice!  Thanks ladies!

I absolutely would not do that you can fall and miscarry it's just not worth it even though you skate
Well and know what your doing your child can stumble and you can fall trying to keep her up another child or inexperienced skater can run into you there's so many things that can happen it's just not worth the risk there will be plenty of time for skating once the baby is born

I wouldn't risk it. Even if you are a skilled skater there are too many accidents that could happen on the ice.
