I'm Pregnant! but how and when could this happen?

Hi! I am 25 years old. From July of 2012 to September of 2014 I was addicted heroin.  I am very proud to say that I have been clean and sober for 8 months! My periods were always irregular (I would go for months without having one )  and on February 27th on 2015 I had a very light period my last one before that was July of 2014. Me and my husband did not expect me to get pregnant with these odd periods I've had but, on May the 9th I took a test and  four different tests since then and all positive! I feel pregnant I've been sick and my breast are very tender and honestly I feel like I'm already showing. Is it possible that I got pregnant before I had this very light period? I'm just so surprised to find out I'm finally pregnant. I have not been to a doctor yet but I'm going soon

Thank you! I am so very excited! I'll be scheduling a doctor's appointment this week to find out how far along I am! I know one thing it couldn't have happened at a better time in my life, I know that this will motivate me to continue to better myself and stay sober!

Yes it's completely possible. I also have always had irregular periods and went on depot provera for 9 months last year. Had my last shot on 7-30-14 and shouldve gotten a period at the end of October but didn't until 12-28-14. It was a 3 week period with a 2 day break from 1-5-15 to 1-7-15. Bled for 2 more weeks and was suprised to find out i was pregnant at the end of February. I am now currently 18 wks 4 days today.

I'm excited for you. It's an accomplishment to be sober for i months and continue to do so every day. You have been blessed with this bundle of joy. I wish you a safe and fun pregnancy. Congrats!

It's possible. But hard to say when you're period is irregular! But you wouldn't be showing yet if so. Your best bet is going to your doctor and finding out how far along you are! Congrats!
