Induction question.

I'm 39 weeks and my doctor says if I haven't had my baby by next week, she'll induce me. My question is, do I get to pick my day of induction or is it up to the hospital? I don't want to be induced, but I'm in sooo much pain it might be my best option if she hasn't come by next week.

I was due March 31st and wasn't induced until April 13th. My baby was 9 lbs 5 ounces, ultimately I had an April 15th c section. If they want to induce....do it. They choose a date that suits them but let it happen. Lol good luck and congratulations!

My doctor asked me the day that I wanted to be induced with both kids. With my last baby who is 11 days old,I had to be induced at 38 weeks because my doctor was going out of town for a week and I did not trust any other doctor delivering my baby. It wasn't a bad experience and the hospital made sure that I was comfortable

Most offices have one day a week they are closed, or its a lab day. So the doctor isn't there, and that's usually the day they induce women. Unless that day doesn't work for you.

Everything is your choice. Just help the doctor remember that if they try to tell you what to do. They are your advocate

Here they usually schedule it for you. At my 40 week appointment they scheduled it for 10 days later (41+3) but I went into labour before I had to be induced. It depends on where you are. I know some places in the states will book you in for one day but if they are too busy that day you may be told to come back another day.

I'm 29 week  this  Friday  I be  40 week if my baby  don't come by  this  3 days   they  going to  induction me this  Friday. I guess  they  just  tell  you. Cause  they  just told  me  when  I went  for last  check up.  I am  so  ready  to have my  little  one.  Can't sleep, I be  in  the bad mood   lol.
