Thank you. I think baby is ready now. I've been contracting 3 hours. I am trying to hold out as long as I can at home. I'll keep y'all updated.
All of my children were born after 40-41 weeks as well. I literally had to convince my doc that they will come when they're ready haha! Everyday I had to beg for an extra day. One was 6 pounds and the other was 8 pounds. I had to remind him this pregnancy that I'm a late birther.. and I won't be induced unless it's life threatening. Good luck to you.
Thank you all for your kind words. I have an appointed with my doctor in the morning. I am going to discuss my fears with her and hopefully she can help put me at ease. I know she will one up with a plan that works best for me.
my first child came naturally at 40+1 and I had her Unmedicated. My next two were induced, one at 40+2 and one at 39 weeks due to fear of the baby being too large. Both inductions went fine and I went on to deliver them vaginally without any medication. However, the comtractions were more intense with the induction because the procedures put the body into labor when it may not be ready so there isn't the natural progression of hormones that will take place. However, it is still possible to to do without medication using breathing techniques and imagery to help. Also, you can request that they start with very little pitocin in hopes that your body will go into labor itself. I do have to say that the recovery after my third was more painful than my second that was more painful than my first. That is because the uterus loses its muscle tone with every pregnancy. There is no escaping it except to help with uterine strengthening herbs like red raspberry leaf. Good luck to you.
I was induced with my first. I went 12 hours with out being medicated but the last 4 hours were hard contractions that lasted 1.5 minutes and were 40 seconds apart. So at that point I asked for the epidural. It went in fine and I spent the next 11 hours sleeping while my body got ready to have the baby. When I was ready to push my healthy daughter came out in 5 minutes later. The only problem I had was with the after birth. My body just wasn't ready to let it go and the doc forced it out by pulling on the cord and then eventually sticking her hand in and scooping it out. That was the worst part of my 23 hour induction.
I had been induced with my both sons i delivered them vaginally without epidural this is my third( i hope this time i,llgo naturally) bcs induction takes time for ur body to get ready for labor but when the bub comes u forget everything but induction isnt tht bad either
Good luck with ur pregnancy :)
