what does this mean?
I'm almost 37 weeks and the doctor said my cervix is extremely soft and dilated 1 cm... Could this mean our little man will be here soon?

Thanks ladies! I was wondering because with my first I went 41 weeks and was not softened or dilated when they finally induced me they spent a whole day trying to soften and dilate me before they could give me pitocin. So I hope since I'm already completely softened and dilated 1 cm I'm close...
The cervix gets soft as it prepares for labor. You are close and your body is preparing.

It could..and it could also be a few weeks. It just means your body is progressing slowly into the next phase. It could happen today, and it could happen in 4 weeks.
