Is Csection taking the easy way out?

I have a 13 month old daughter who was delivered by emergency csection. I'm now 30 wks and my dr is asking me about our birth plan but at the same time very highly suggesting another csection as a precaution. I originally wanted vbac but now I'm thinking about just doing another csection so i dont have to labor or push. I feel like I'm chickening out but i don't handle pain very well at all. I know i can do epidural but i just want to get this over with as easy as possible.

I had a c section with my second and 2 VBAC's after and I in no way think that having a c section is taking the easy way out, the recovery alone is brutal!

I had a planned c section with my first & will have another planned c section again this time! I dont care what anybody thinks or if im taking the easy way or the hard way or whatever... If you feel like a c section will be safer for you and your baby tgan i say do it! And i also think its nice to know exactly when the baby is coming! We got enough stress just being pregnant and we dont need to be stressing on when the baby decides to come out, being overdue or getting induced!!!!

Your delivering a baby, natural or c section. It's scary. They both have their risks. Do what YOU think is right. And what your mommy gut tells you to do.

I was induced and had to have a c section with my first. This time around I'm opting for a c section. I have gestational  diabetes, and honestly if you seen my first kids head you would understand ;)
Good luck, and any choice you make is not being a chicken or any less of a mother.

In Australia if you had a c section with in the last two years they will make you have another csection so you don't have risks of rupturing your uterus

I had my first emergency csection due to high blood pressure at 34 weeks. I had my other two vacb. I plan on having this one vacb also.

I don't see it as chickening out. I think how anyway woman brings a child into the world is wonderful no matter what or how she does it. Everyone is different we are all not made of stone. One's that might do perfectly fine pushing out a baby with no meds might not be able to handle the pain of a c section. And other way around too. I say do what works best for you what you feel is safest. It's your body and your baby that you want to get here safely. I'll be having my 3rd c section. Sometimes I wish I had done it vaginally and others I'm glad I don't have to push anything out.

Honestly, i don't think surgery is chickening out! Csections have challenges of their own.

I have had a c section with my first and vbac with my second but 8 yes apart but no a c section is not chickening out your being safe   I think it's still to early to try to have a vbac since your last  c section wasn't that  very long ago you scar is  still healing  and would hate for it to tear during pushing good luck .

I was just reading that even though its nice to plan the date of the csection it could be rather important to let your body go into labor on its own, and then having the surgery just to ensure baby is ready. Just an angle i suppose...

I had an emergency c section with my first due to a placenta eruption. I'm now 31 weeks on my second and I am due to have a planned c-section at 39 weeks. From what happened last time I'm really scared that the same thing may occur and don't want my partner to miss out on the birth as he wasn't allowed in on the 1st. I think everyone has their own reason on why they choose it. No one can tell you if it's the right or wrong decision
