Is anyone overweight and pregnant?

I just found out I am pregnant with baby #2 and as excited as I am, part of me is dreading the weight I will be putting back on. I also literally just dropped the 18 lbs I gained with the first one in the last couple months. Do any of you have HELPFUL tips to help keep the weight off? Recipes, meal plans, advice... I like exercise, that's not the problem. I'm a major foodie, and have always been a little overweight.

Also watching your sodium intake will help keep the water weight down which can build up in a hurry :/

I had the same prob. I've always been overweight (around 200lbs) and my first and second preg I gained 70 lbs each. My third preg I focused on eating salads for lunches and portion control for all the other meals and only gain 25 lbs, 14 of which I dropped 3 days after I had her so might have been just water and baby lol. I'm very proud of this accomplishment and still had a very healthy baby. Good luck to you.

My doc just informed me yesterday that fruit during pregnancy isn't the best idea. The natural sugar in fruit absorbs into our bodies faster n makes us gain weight faster. I had no idea....but he said focus on veggies n salads to help with the weight gain...

I have the same concern! Although I was underweight before getting pregnant with my 1st son I gained almost 70lbs. Before I got pregnant this time I was 158lbs and i'm 5'1 which was ok but i have been cooking more at home, eating healthier, and eating more fruit which haven't helped at ALL because i'm now 22weeks and I've already gained 29lbs *sigh* :(
