Labor stories

I know no one will answer this because no one ever does but I'd like to hear several stories about moms who were terrified about giving birth but did it and surprised themselves by doing so. My time is here and I'm doing everything to try and keep a good mind set! Thank you

With my first I awoke at 4am with cramps by 8am my waters were trickling. I went to the hospital at 1pm and didn't have my boy until 5:35 the next am. My 2nd I was Induced as he had a bowel movement inside me. Was pushing for 10mins but as he came out he turned over and tore my muscles on the back wall of my vagina. Ouchie!

I loved it for the start of labour. Took the pressure off everything. I borrowed mine the day before I went in labour and bounced on it all that day. Donno if it helped me go into labour or not but it was within 24 hours of me starting to bounce on it I was in labour. Goodluck to you. :)

We'll after I put that comment on this post the contractions stopped. Then about 4 hours later started again. About 3 hours later they were 5 mins apart and on my way to hospital. Bub was born about 2 and a half hours after getting to hospital. 8 pound 12 ounces. Gas only for pain relief. Went very smooth no stitches needed. And was home within 24 hours of having him. :)

I'm 11 weeks prego... With my fourth baby.. and im 27.. you'll think that its something u won't be abile to go thru ...  But once it happens your body will just know how to handle it.. its not that scary.. mother nature will just take its course... But my advice.. get epidural!!!...

With my first i was induced at 40 weeks +10. I would say it was less painful than my second but took longer. My second i was due to be induced and i went into labour the night before :) at 40 weeks +11 days. They broke my water with the first and with second water broke when baby was coming out :)
Well my 3rd baby was different.... I had her 12 days ago :) my water broke 4 weeks early.... It was a shock!!! I had her that night after only an hour labour.
I didn't have stitched with any of them :) i guess i am lucky my skin stretch well as i didn't have any stretch marks aswell :)

But going to make the most of this year with my son before I have to split my time between 2! All the best Hun. Biggest thing to remember no matter what you say during labour you are not a bad mum!!! Also its all worth it the minute you hold you precious gift, your baby. Xx

I remember waking up at 1.30 am with these weird cramps. I timed them until 3 am in which they got closer and longer! Woke my hubby up he freaked and raced me to the hospital. I was 3.5-4cm dilated and the midwife told me I could stay or go home for a while because I shouldn't expect baby to be here till later that night. I went home. Had a shower got some more sleep and had something to eat. Rang my mum at 6am and told her what was going on in the short time I spoke to her I had 3 good contractions. She told me to get my a s s to the hospital. Went in they did an internal exam, my waters broke. Asked for drugs at about 7.45 was told no you have no time and my beautiful son was born at 08.23am. Weighing 8lb13 1/2 oz. and he was 4 days early. I had no drugs and no stitches nothing!!

Two weeks before his due date I felt like I had to pee. I went to the bathroom and pee'd but when I got up I still felt like I had to pee. That's when I looked down & realized that it wasn't pee. It was cloudy & clear and it continued to trickle. That's when I knew my water broke. I made my way to the hospital and by the time I got there about 1/2hr later I was already having contractions. They gave me some short term medicine to make it thru the night and they put me on pitocin because even though I was contracting, my cervix wasn't dilating. The next morning the pains where bad so they were able to give me an epidural. It was a God send and I had an amazing anesthesiologist. By about 3pm I was ready to push, I only pushed for about 10 or 15 minutes before he was here. 7lbs11oz no tearing or anything. I started breastfeeding right then & there and I was up walking around by the time I made it to the recovery room. It was a beautiful experience. It was so calm, soothing, and memorable. I hope this one goes just as smoothly (I am 27+5weeks). I still want my epidural. Good luck hun :)

So my water broke two weeks early when we were bowling with some friends lol. No contractions, nothing so next day midwife jad me go to hospital and be induved, ended up on pitosin...Pain was definitely tough cause i couldnt move around but id made it out to be so much worse in my head that it was always manageable. Long story short even with pitosin my body wouldnt relax enough to dilate so midwife had me get an epidural, onr hr. later id gone frm 3 to 10cm, pushed for a couple hrs anf had a 8 lb 6 oz 19.75" boy :) really wasnt as terrible as i thought it would be, and end result was amazing! Hoping my body will know what to do this go round, i really want a water birth. For me recovery and getting back to my old self was worse than labor lol.

Mine wasn't a natural like the ones above, but not to bad... At 4 months I told my doctor I was going to have a c section but he did not believe me. So tone went by, and had an apt on my due date (Dec 8) but still no baby, in fact I wasn't dilated and he still hadn't dropped... So I had to go to the hospital the 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th, 13th, and on the 14th I was dilated to .5cm do they could induce me... So on the 15th I went in at 730 am and they put me on platosen, at 10 am they broke my water.. NOTHING,  finally some time around  530pm I said "ooo that kind of hurt" I was only at 1.5cm and they gave me pain meds. I slept finally around 1 something in the morning on the 16th a nurse came in and had me drink this nasty anti nausea drink stuff, witch worked the opposite. And told me I was having a c section...  135 in the morning my prince was born at 6'14" 19 and 3/4 in... So now I'm setting a date for another one with this baby 2 weeks-ish before Halloween...

I was induced at 41+3 with my first. They put the gel in at 8 am contractions started at about 11 am and then had bub at 530 pm. Was a very easy labour concidering I had heard so many horror stories about being.induced. I didn't.need to be cut and had no tearing. He was 8 pound 6 everyone was pretty amazed that he came out so easy concidering I have pretty little hips. I'm currently 39+4 and am.sitting on a fit ball getting.contractions about 10 12 mins apart. So ill let you know what happens this time lol

I went in for a Dr appt at 40+1 with my first, was dilated to 4. After having contractions for about a week. The Dr decided to induce me. I had to wait til 6 to get the epidural. After the epidural all was smooth sailing!! 10 hours of labor and 2 hours of pushing!! All of the pain is so beyond worth it when you are holding your babe in your arms!! They say you forget the pain, not true!! Lol!! But the prize in the end some how gets you through it! Hey it must not be that bad or there would be a lot more only children in this world right!!

I woke up and had period like cramps and figured I had a couple more days.  Wrong! By 6 pm that night I was checked Into the hospital and was 4 cm dilated. I was in so much pain to the point of crying.  By 9 pm I was 7 cm and got an epidursl... which I didn't want to get.  The dr popped my water and I pushed from 4 am to 6:22 when my daughter came out.  Best feeling I'm the world!!!
