Thanks ladies, will give all your suggestions a try!
Lots of water and potassium (banana is the easiest natural source) and try stretching before heading to bed.
Good luck :-)
Streching your legs can help ease them..i often get it during the night and the best way to release the pain is streching my heels (not the toes) ...its best way to get rid of them faster..it really works for me...no need to wake my hubby to do it for me...and make sure u strech your heels not ur toes...streching ur toes makes it worst..!!take care
I had this problem with my first. Someone suggested calcium tablets and they worked! If I didn't take one before bed, I'd definitely get a cramp in the middle of the night!
I've heard drinking lots of water all day and especially a glass before bed helps out too. The leg stretches have helped me when I get them and doing them throughout the day can help prevent them at night.
I get them during the night when I change positions or stretch my legs.. the only thing that works for me is getting up and walking through it.. painful but its the only thing that works for me
I have been getting them every night and have been kept up because of them. Including this morning. not so good.
id doesnt get much easier im afraid. im due in 2 days and had the same problem throughout i point my foot upwards it seems to help. my shins go into a cramp too its so annoying
If you flex your foot towards your shin it should go away. Pushing your foot down will make it worse. My exeperience! They r no joke!!
