Long labor/c-section update. Thanks for your prayers.

So I went to hospital last Thursday (2/12) for induction. I was 40 weeks & 5 days, the doc wanted to induce because the amnotic fluid around the baby was very low & said the more I wait, the water will get lower. Plus the baby was bigg. My cervix was CLOSED So thur I got 2 Cervidil inserted in me for 24 hours (1 Cervidil last 12 hrs). After 24 hours, my cervix still didn't open. I had to get the IV induction (pitocin), that didn't open cervix at 1st so they had to increase the number, it was sooo freaking painful. I was begging for epidural. After I got it, I was much better. It took awhile for cervix but Friday night like 11pm, I was open 10cm. I was so happy because I was almst done. They called doc, when time came, I pushed, pushed, pushed, but the baby was way up high. The doc said the baby was way up high & baby heart rate was increasing high, & she was distressing so I had to get emergency c-section. I was soooo scared because I didn't think I would get c-section after days of attempting to open cervix, & now it opened, the baby wouldn't come out.  I was so sad. But I just prayed to God & trusted in him. Within 10 mins, I was prepared for surgey, I went ahead with c-section & on Saturday (2/14) at 1:03am, the baby came out, she was 10 lbs & 6oz. The doc told me before the baby was too big but never trusted him because estimate can be wrong so I was suprised. She is perfect, she has lots of dark hair that everyone has been commenting on & just sooo beautiful. The baby is completely healthy & perfect & doc said she was very lucky. On the hand, the whole process was extremely painful. I went through the whole vaginal labor but was unsuccessful & went through c-section. Afterwards, it been dealing with agonizing pain but medicine has helped. I been here at hospital since Thursday, that's 6 days & I'm getting discharged sometime today. I can't wait. I'm ftm, I'm sooo grateful to be over & praying for faster recovery. I wish you all successful pregnancy & easier delivery than what I had. Thanks to all those who have prayed for me.

Congrats! i know its difficult when labor doesn't go as you expected, but whats important is that she's here and you're ok too. God doesn't give you any experience you can't handle and I'm sure you'll do great at home with your little one :)

Thank you ladies. It was tough esp having low pain tolerance. I was crying through the c-section because I could feel the tugging & pulling. But now I have my daughter in my arms, I can't believe I went thru that & I'm a mother.
