Medication overload

Hi i've undergone my 1st IVF, i'm 8 weeks pregnant and just wondering if i really need all this medicine from my doctor. I've ask the nurse and she said that i have to continue all of this medicine until delivery.
Crinone 8% -- once a day
Progrsterone (utrogestan)--- once a day
Estradiol (vagifem) 2x a day
Estradiol valerate (progynova) 2 tab twice a day
Dydrogestrone (duphaston) 3x a day
Prednisone (pred 10) 2x a day
Aspirin
Heparin (innohep) 4,500iu once a day
Do i really need all this? Pls help

I would not discontinue any of that medication without a doctors say. Prednisone is dealing with an immune issue, Heprin is thinning your blood so blood clots don't form. I take both these too. I would think your doctor would probably have you stop the estrogen and progesterone between 10 and 12 weeks. I know it's a lot right now to take but it's so very important to make sure you take these meds consistently right now. Your body is not producing enough of the estrogen and progesterone quite yet to sustain a pregnancy. Your RE should be having your labs checked and will know when it's safe to discontinue each med. congrats on your pregnancy!

I have not had ivf. But the dr wouldn't give you the meds unless you need them. Especially the hormone replacements. Congrats on the new baby
