My labor story!!
My son finally made his way into the world at 1:21 am on July 16th two days before my due date!!! And I am total in LOVE..
So it all started Tuesday morning around 1am... I was having contractions but I didn't know if they were just cramps or if I was in labor.. So I get up in the morning and go to the doctors for my already scheduled appointment! I get there and she tells me I'm 3-4 centimeters and 75% effaced!! YAY me!! So I then go shopping, to a staff meeting and then to walmart to do light grocery shopping, all while in walking around in PAIN... I get home lay in my bed and call my sons father just to talk trash!! (That's just what I do!!) I roll over almost in tears from the pain, call my mother and ask her to come get me.. She gets there and Aa soon as I get up to open the door, blood is everywhere!! I'm like OMG OMG I NEED to take a shower!! Lol.. I open the door for her and limp to my bathroom! All I hear is my mom saying come on, but I was shaving my legs!! Lol.. I finally get out and I'm damn near at my breaking point. The problem I have is I have slight OCD so I started cleaning a little.. Smh.. I finally get dressed and we head out.. My mother hit EVERY SINGLE BUMP on the way to the hospital.. I'm uncomfortable as all greatness.. We get here and I get checked.. The nurse says your 6 centimeters and yours contractions are 4 mins apart.. She calls them on the other side and says "she's a keeper".. All of a sudden it ALL kicks in.. I'm really having this kid.. By the time I got switched over to the other side it's 9:15pm.. I asked for an epidural and I didn't feel that at all!! I was checked twice.. The second time it was 12:30am and I was 9 centimeters!! They couldn't find his heartbeat so they had me to side to side then on my knees.. And then put this probe on his head to monitor his heart beat! The midwife checks me again and I'm 10!! Really kicks in again.. I actually have to PUSH?? Lol.. I pushed for 26 mins and at 1:21 am Andre Masai made his way into the world!! I'm in love!! They took him away so quick because we both had temps and his little heart beat was little fast but he is here and I am happy!! 7.5 lbs and 20 inches!!

aww congrats! i have heard women say the rpiduraldid nothing for them...i wonder if it at least kept the pain from escalating? idk but all that wont matter now;)
