Natural Birth!

I don't want to hear terrible stories where you couldn't stand it..
I understand some people think it's the worst pain in the world,
but I do know a lot of people do it naturally without an epidoral..
I really want to do it that way,
Is it really that bad??

I had my two at home so no option for drugs there. I recommend water though! Once I got into the bath whilst transitioning (basically when things start to get serious just before pushing) the pain was dramatically lessened and very bearable as you get a break between contractions to recover. Before that, all the pain just seemed to blend from contraction to contraction and didn't even feel like I was getting a break at all. So yeah, water birth worked wonders for me and I enjoyed both births - they were hard work but I was calm and felt supported. My advice is to do a calmbirth or hypnobirthing course, they help you to be so much more prepared and way more confident in your ability to birth naturally. Anyway on number 3 now and looking forward to another natural birth, I seriously just really enjoy giving birth!

No its not bad, if it was that bad giving birth naturally then people wouldn't do it more than once, my sisters say it is really bad but once it's over you forget about the pain you've been in, unfortunately for me i wouldn't get to see how it feels cos I'm pretty with first baby n he's breach so i have to get a c section, good luck
