Need some help/advice

I am currently 38 weeks pregnant and a first time mom. I had my last doctors appointment this last Wednesday and he checked me and and said I'm 2cm dilated. Since then my stomach has dropped and I have been getting pains in my pelvic area. I also have been wearing pnaty liners and when I go to the restroom there's always this dark yellow brownish stuff on them. What does all this mean and is it normal!?

The discharge is totally normal! The discomfort and engagement of the baby are all normal territory at this stage of pregnancy. Keep on keeping on, you're doing great :)

All I can say for sure is that the dialiation. It doesn't matter & has no indication on when labor will start. Some women are a 4, I've heard of one woman being at a 7 for 2 weeks before labor started!  So it just is what it is. Seriously I hate that Dr's check - there is such little point to it!!

The discharge could be an infection - maybe call your Dr and double check?

The pain is just being pregnant.  The ligaments stretch and sometimes it's painful. But baby dropping is just baby engaging in prep for labor. Doesn't mean guaranteed to be soon, but who knows!
