Overseas trip

So before I got pregnant, my husband amd I booked a trip to see my family in the US. Now looking at the trip, I'm nervous because I will be 6 months pregnant, but the tickets are non-refundable, and its for a wedding that I would hate to miss..Its not until October but does anyone have any thoughts/suggestions about traveling while pregnant?

My Dr just said no air travel in the last 6 weeks. The only reason is because they don't want you going into labor on the plane. If you are having a healthy pregnancy I don't see any reason you can't
go. I think it would be different if you were going to a third world country. I would check with the airline though just in case they have rules about it. If you do go make sure you are up moving around frequently so you don't risk getting blood clots in your legs.

When I was pregnant with my first I was told not to fly during my 3rd trimester. Other than that do what feels comfortable. SO and I took a lot of road trips when i was pregnant with our first. I made sure to have a pillow to sit on, bottle of water, snacks and we stopped frequently at rest areas so i could stretch my legs and use the bathroom.  Just plan ahead for what you may need to insure you're comfortable. And between you and me I think the 2nd trimester is the easiest when it comes to being active and travelling. The queasies from the first trimester have probably stopped and you're not that large yet  lol  I would still talk to yourOB just for clarification.
