Please help! Double electronic breast pumps??

hi ladies, I am a FTM to a week year old baby and am having difficulties feeding her of my own breast as she doesn't take enough on her own and as a result is very unsettled, restless and is up every hour wanting more but i still want to give her breast milk and not formula so I have started pumping with a single handheld so I know exactly how much she is getting . I have been advised to buy a double electric breast pump as it will be faster and easier to get the milk out instead of sitting for almost a hour just to get one feed. Does anyone know what is a good quality electric double breast pump and roughly how much it will cost? And also where to purchase. Thank you

I have a medela double pump thats electric.  Its called the freestyle.  Its amazing.  I think it retailed for 400.00.  I got it free with my insurance.  Any medical home store will file the paperwork for you too.

I have BCBS and just received mine. It was free, also if you have WIC or try to get on it, they provide one for free. Some hospitals rent them out fairly cheap too. But don't get discouraged the first2-4 weeks they cluster feed. My son ate for over 30 minutes every hour that first week, then it slowly moved to 30 minutes every 2 hours by 4 weeks. It's normal for them to want it a lot. Breast milk digest faster so they are hungry sooner.

We received a "perscription"  for a free one before we left the hospital. I'd call the hospital and see if they offer free ones or have any advice on how to get one.

What insurance do you have?? Call babies r us. They will advise you on what free pump your insurance covers. They ship it really fast and you will have it in like 2 days. Obama care allows mom's to receive a free pump for every pregnancy.
