Def talk to your doctor or local parent talk lines. I've heard do what ur body is used to before pregnancy and stop when it exerts ur body too much later in pregnancy.
Try swimming, walking, stationery bike or yoga. Those types of exercise are good for you while being pregnant. I'm 16 weeks and I was overweight before i got pregnant and have lost 15 pounds so far just by changing my diet. So it's possible. Keep your head up! :)
Ask your doctor. Most hospitals have free workout classes for pregnant women who plan on having the baby at their facility. Prenatal pilates and yoga classes is what mine offers.
I was in the same boat!! Lost 37 pounds and found out I was pregnant!! Talk about heart broken!! And I have gained evey pound back!! But I'm getting a very special gift from it.. My first child!! Who I wasn't ready for! Lol.. So now I get to start over!! And push harder!! So I can live l
Longer for my little cupcake!!
I know how you feel right when I was losing and getting a routine down I was pregnant! But, all is okay! I definitely took it down a lot when I found out I didn't do heavy lifting and I didn't squat anymore just because with a past pregnancy I had short cervix and didn't want to risk anything! But I kept walking and working on my arms with weights and worked on my legs doing extensions.
But definitely talk to your doctor on what you do and what you should kick back on. :) good luck! Healthy eating will definitely play a big part but throw in a something a little unhealthy.. Of course moderation! (:
Hire A Personal Trainer, My Cousin Is One. I Have Been Exercising With Her For Over A Month. I Have A Lot More Energy AndHaven't Gained Weight, I'm 24 Weeks. (I Lost 5 Pounds In The First Trimester, Due To Nausea Then Gained It Back)
From everything I have read it is totally fine to lose weight while pregnant. It kind of makes sense.. if I was eating my 100% best for the baby, I'd be losing weight.. I read a book called eat to live by fuhrman, and it totally changed my idea of what eating healthy is. It seems like everyone loses weight before they get pregnant! Maybe it makes us more fertile!?
Thanks everyone. I've been working with a friend who is a trainer but I'm worried about all of the heavy lifting I've been doing so I think I'll cut that back just to be safe. Increase reps and decrease weight. Let my body tell what is too much.
