Safe to use Listerine mouthwash?

I have gum disease (it's well under control), so for the past several years I've swished/gargle with listerine twice a day right after tooth brushing. Then someone told me this wasn't safe to use during pregnancy. I'm 29 weeks and have been using it the entire pregnancy. I will certainly ask at my next appointment, but has anyone ever heard such a thing? I know it has alcohol in it, but it's not like I'm drinking it.

There's a mouthwash called corsodil that's made specifically for gum disease that's safe to use when pregnant :)

Thanks. I figure it should be okay since it's not like I'm drinking it.

My doctor told me it is great to use a mouth rinse during pregnancy. I have always used an alcohol free one such as Crest Pro Health.  So maybe if you worry about the alcohol switch to one of those types during the pregnancy.  good luck
